  I arrived with no expectations. I was compelled to attend through prayer, even though I have never been to a Pentecostal Church before. The friendly greetings and heartfelt welcomes made me feel secure enough to stay and see if this would be "my tribe." When the music started, I was transported. The Holy Spirit filled me and I could see it in every face around me. The passion and delivery of the sermon moved me. I had tears running down my cheeks throughout the service. However, as I sat and observed, I saw the women dressed in long skirts and their hair was long or up in buns. I caught a few disapproving looks my way. I realized then, this would not be my tribe, and it was sealed for me when the pastor came by to introduce himself. As he spoke with me, his eyes were already on others and I knew he saw me as an outsider. I was not wearing a dress, I do not own one, and my hair is short.
  
  In conclusion, I loved the overall experience. It is always a beautiful moment when I can feel God's Spirit and see it all around me. I live in it every second of my life, and to see it in others made me not even recognize the physical differences; the Spirit was so great I was blinded by it's power. But to feel this was a place I would find refuge in, is sadly not the case. I am not a conformist for the sake of fitting in and I do not recognize their take on Corinthians as absolute. I believe we are all equal in God's eyes and to be judged for appearance is profoundly unjust. While I did not feel loathed, I did feel my presence would sadly not be missed.

  Wow what an amazing atmosphere in the Spirit that is in this church...when the world treads on you this place will breath hope and joy into your soul again...and what a beautiful group of people, very loving and kind and the Pastor is very anointed and on fire for God with a heart of compassion! !

  I think every pastor should send their church members there just to learn how to make a person feel welcomed. Everyone greeted me with such sincerity abd warmth. The worship was awesome. The sermon touched my heart. I noticed no one wore wore makeup or jewelry and I do love my bling and being girly, so for that reason I will not be back. I feel if the barn needs painting paint it! I do know the emphasis on the real beauty is within. But they do this to honor God so praise God. If its not a problem for you, and want to feel loved, accepted, and joy, then go to this church. I took the bus 2 hours and would do it weekly if the makeup doctrine wasnt such an emphasis.
